A meeting was held between the Minister of Environment, Dr. Tamara El-Zein, and the Chairman of the Lebanese Petroleum Administration, Engineer Fawzi Khalifa, to coordinate environmental studies for the seismic survey in Block 8. This paves the way for the consortium comprising TotalEnergies, Eni, and QatarEnergy to begin conducting the studies.

The discussions are part of an effort to fast-track all administrative and executive procedures required to launch the surveys, pinpoint the exploratory well's location, and initiate drilling by mid 2028.
